The D'Addario NYXL45130 extends the NYXL bass formulation to 5-string long-scale electric bass, adding a .130 low B to the Regular Light set. That low B is where cheaper 5-string sets fall apart — NY Steel keeps it tight, articulate, and in tune instead of loose and boomy, so the bottom string tracks as clearly as the rest of the set.

Fusion Twist locks the nickel-plated wrap to the hex-shaped NY Steel core for markedly better tuning stability and break strength across the whole set — including the low B, usually the first string to drift. Expect a brighter, more present tone with strong mid-range that cuts through the mix.
