Ernie Ball P02150 Earthwood Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings — Extra Light 10-50

Mellow, ringing phosphor bronze with excellent clarity.

Ernie Ball Earthwood Phosphor Bronze in Extra Light 10-50 gives your acoustic a warmer, rounder voice than 80/20 bronze without giving up definition. Ernie Ball describes the tone as "a mellow, ringing sound, with excellent clarity" — strong fundamentals, a smooth top end, and the balanced character that has made phosphor bronze the everyday choice for acoustic players. Extra Light is the easiest-playing set in the line — low tension for effortless fretting and bends, and a natural match for smaller-bodied guitars and lighter-touch players.

Phosphor bronze that holds its tone.

Earthwood Phosphor Bronze wrap wire is 92% copper, 7.7% tin, and 0.3% phosphorus, wound over a tin-plated hex-shaped steel core. The tin and phosphorus in the alloy slow corrosion compared to plain 80/20 bronze, so a fresh set keeps its warmth and clarity longer between changes. The hex core grips the wrap wire for solid tuning stability and consistent intonation. Uncoated, with the light orange-gold color phosphor bronze is known for.
