On-Stage Trumpet Straight Mute
Bright, free-blowing, and honest about pitch.
Nearly every concert band chart a trumpet player will meet asks for a straight mute at some point, and this is the one to own first. Spun aluminum gives the classic bright, cutting mute tone, while the free-blowing design keeps the back-pressure low enough that intonation does not fight you the way cheap mutes do.
Spun aluminum, high-gloss finish.
The high-gloss enamel finish produces the mellow character associated with high quality straight mutes rather than the thin, buzzy sound of a stamped mute. It is light in the bell, so the horn still balances normally in your hands.
Fits securely and protects the horn.
- Three natural cork pads: carefully spaced to grip the bell firmly and direct airflow evenly around the mute.
- Padded top: keeps the mute from scratching the inside of the bell or the lacquer when it goes in and out.
- Free-blowing design: preserves accurate intonation across the range instead of pushing the whole horn sharp.
- Compact 3.5" x 6" body: fits a standard trumpet case accessory compartment or a gig bag pocket.
