D'Addario Assorted Guitar Picks — 7-Pack, Medium

Seven materials, one gauge, one decision.

Pick material changes your attack and your grip more than most players realize, but nobody wants to buy seven separate packs to find out which one they like. This variety pack holds one of each of D'Addario's core pick materials, all in medium gauge, so the only variable is the material itself.

What's in the pack.

• Celluloid: the traditional choice — warm and rounded, with the familiar feel most players grew up on.
• Nylflex: flexible nylon with a soft, forgiving attack.
• Nylpro: nylon with a molded grip and a warm, vintage voice.
• Cortex: a textured surface with a bright tone and strong attack.
• Duralin: stiff acetal resin, brighter and more precise.
• Black Ice: Duralin in the oversized jazz shape, for articulate lead work.
• DuraGrip: Duralin with a high-traction grip coating that holds on to sweaty hands.

Why medium gauge.

Medium sits in the range where most players are comfortable strumming chords and picking single notes without switching picks. Holding the gauge constant is the point — it isolates material and surface texture so you can hear and feel what each one does before you commit to a bag of them.

Who It's For:

• New players who have never tried anything but the pick that came with the guitar.
• Anyone who drops picks and suspects a grip surface would fix it.
